Released on March 3, 2015, the Kimberley Sunset coin marks an important moment in Australian history as the first legal tender to feature an Argyle pink diamond.

Inspired by the by the dramatic landscape of Western Australia’s remote Kimberley region and the birthplace of the rare Argyle pink diamonds, the artistic design depicts the picturesque scene of an ancient boab tree and the rays of sunlight which extend across this unique wilderness at sunset.

 

An extremely limited mintage of only 500 worldwide, this unique collectible is crafted from 22-carat rose gold, contains 2oz of 9999 fine gold and features a handset 0.04ct Argyle pink diamond.

Struck in high relief with a superb proof quality finish, the Kimberley Sunset coin is issued as Australian legal tender, a status granted by the nation’s Federal Treasury, and possesses a symbolic denomination of AU$500.
